Father's Day and Oklahoma or Bust.

David made it home in time for his very first Father's Day.  He got in from Germany (two days late) at 3:00 am.  My dad was here to meet his first grandbaby too!  What a special day.  We went to church (Olivia slept thru praise and worship AND the service this time...good girl Livie) and then we went to an extravagant brunch at "Salty's" restaurant in West Seattle.  So all in all an above average Father's Day...Olivia is blessed with a strong father...she and I are both lucky girls.
Dad left Monday to go join some co-workers for some business in Alaska.  He's having a great time and says it is just beautiful (he's been to Juneau and Homer).

Now the Griswolds are on their way to Oklahoma.  We took Olivia to her first Cracker Barrel tonight.  We also spent our anniversary at a Pizza Hut in some random Oregon town...very romantic!  She and Flounder are doing great in the car.  We're a funny sight, though, busting at the seams with dog and baby and me in the front seat trying to pump and David rocking out to Pat Green or whoever happens to be on the iPod mix.  We haven't forgotten to untie Flounder from the bumper yet.

Our country is so beautiful!  The Rocky Mountains, the rivers, the pastures, the deep blue skies contrasted against the dry rolling hills in the desert...WOW.  I tried to take pictures to share but they just aren't doing justice.

We're in Salt Lake City tonight at a LaQuinta getting no LaSleepa...our little angel is quite the crybaby tonight.  Oh well.  Please pray for us we have a couple of days to go (on our way to Raton, Colorado tomorrow)  Raton is a destination of choice so that we can sing along to "Snowin on Raton" with a new passion.  (Great duet by Pat Green and Natalie Maines).

PS new discovery which you moms might like to know about.  The Moby Wrap (it's basically an overpriced sheet of fabric that comes with instructions) but it is a special little gift from God that noone told me about.  Olivia falls asleep in it instantly!!!  I think it's because she's wrapped so tightly she becomes slightly hypoxic...but it affords me a little extra rest so I'll take it.

Oklahoma or Bust:)
